so you’re stuck inside because what you thought were allergies turned out to be some deadly flu-virus-bug monstrosity. No need to worry, because the city is on your side (per usual). here’s what you should do (in addition to laying in bed and moaning):
1) order in….everything. get that orange juice, box of tissues, bottle of wine, and a thermometer all in one place at MaxDelivery.com, god’s gift to manhattan.
2) figure out what the moon looked like when you were born. Was it a toe-nail sliver? Cheshire cat grin? ..not there at all? what could such a thing possibly reveal? draw your own conclusions and up your random bar-conversation-cool-factor by clicking here—> Moon Phases
3) so now that we’ve stimulated your superstitious interests, why not find out if you and that hotty-you’ve-had-your-eye-on are meant to be via the old fashioned route. no don’t call him– consult your tarot cards! http://facade.com/tarot/
4) alright now you’ve taken a hefty bite off the bun of reality, it’s time to head over to good ol’ etsy and support the hand made/vintage style movement and spend that heart ache away (or you know, if luck is on your side…buy yourself a cute lil accessory to wear next time you see him…”oh this ol’ thing..” yea use your imagination) http://www.etsy.com/
6) now put that fever delirium to good use and write a blog entry. or put on your cutest sick face and support the troops via skype conversation with your favorite soldier over seas.

The lovely Sol singing Tammy Wynette’s “Stand by Your Man,” while standing over previously ripped and scribbled on images of N.Korean leader Kim Jong-il. The happening, a critique on the N.Korean devotion to the leader, was an introduction to a piece to be performed in full on Thursday as part of the Parasites show.
Parasites, a group show featuring works outside of the traditional “white-cube” gallery setting, is being put on by a group of Parsons Fine Arts Juniors, and boy are they a stylin’ crew…
(From left to right– Zoey Sirinsky, Alex Sloane, Nate Christie, Jill Camera, and Lauren Panichelli)
(Sol and Caitie Gibbons)
– — recurring visions — – short shorts, jean vests, loose fits, socks past boots and covered toes.
for all you students out there, good luck with finals. i hope you make it through alive.

it seems spring has sprung! and is sprinkling sundress-sportin-stylistas all over my neighborhood.
picked this cutie up right on my front stoop. her and accompanying friend, both from japan, are studying english in the city. they are beginners. beginning beginners.
the jumpsuit, the wickerish, wood-finished clutch… the aloof corner stance before my approach. i hope she understood, at the least, i thought she was stylin…
too brit to quit

New York City is a hot bed of hotties—a cornucopia of culture—a ravine of revelry and raunch…..and we know you want a piece of it.
…so here it is, a big ol’ slice of the big apple pie served by me to you. there will be art! there will be music! and godhelpus, there will be fashion!
Give us a looksie, and be sure to check in regularly. because summer is coming and things are only getting hotter.
in the mean time, why not vibe yourself loco to the synth sounds of this ratatat classic…
